The New Growth theory asserts that the power of ideas is an unlimited resource in economic activity. Our effort will be to address this unique challenge of achieving equilibrium through proposed total service innovation model. One of the solutions propounded by economists is the capability of producing a standard equilibrium model. This raises a question of how technology intelligence network comprising external information sources should be designed. As a consequence, the integration of external information sources becomes important. This development affects the way in which technology management and technology intelligence should be carried out. The increasing innovation potential of integrating distinct disciplines has a considerable impact on the innovation process. Therefore, by assessing the extent of contractors ICT perception, empirical evidence has been provided for the governments and construction industries to proffer a way of enlightenment to the contractors regarding the advantages and benefits of using ICT devices.

The findings show that the contractors are not well knowledgeable about the ICT and its benefits, because the result revealed that their perception is nominal, not very effective. 519 questionnaires were employed for the data collection, and SPSS version 19 was used for the data analysis.

The purpose of this study is to assess the perception of contractors in terms of awareness and ICT devices usage. However, it raises alarm that causes the following research question need to be asked: what is the extent of ICT perceptiveness among contractors for construction site management in Nigeria. Information and communication technology in construction industry suffers a lot of setback due to the lack of detailed knowledge on its advantages.
